Created following a public controversy surrounding an artistic nude published by Aliaa Al Mahdy on her blog, the painting references Al Mahdy’s stockings and red shoes. Exiting her exposed vagina (the issue of controversy) is a long complex labyrinthian umbullical cord enveloping the word “al hayah”, Arabic for “life”.
