Developed for Here and Everywhere, an online video series centered on roundtable discussions, this brand identity was designed to visually reinforce the project’s core themes of activism, solidarity, and collective presence. The series brings together voices across disciplines and geographies, and the visual language needed to reflect both grounded political engagement and a sense of shared space that extends beyond any single location.
At the heart of the identity is a logo depicting a pair of hands holding a protest sign; an image immediately associated with grassroots movements and public assembly.
The form of the logo draws from the aesthetics of hand-painted signs commonly seen at demonstrations: direct, imperfect, and human. These qualities are distilled and reduced into a single-color graphic that relies heavily on negative space. By stripping the image down to its essentials, the mark maintains clarity and legibility across digital platforms while retaining the emotional charge of its source material.
A stripped-down version of the logo that relies entirely on iconography was developed for lower-third screen placement. Sharing its DNA with the full logoform, it guarantees consistency of the brand identity beyong=d just the show’s intro.
Overall, the brand identity for Here and Everywhere situates the series within a broader visual language of activism without resorting to overt slogans. By abstracting a familiar protest motif into a restrained, flexible mark, the design supports the series’ mission: to create a space for conversations that are grounded in urgency, connected across distance, and oriented toward collective understanding and action.
