As part of REFRAMING THE MOUNTAINS, an initiative by Apripista to provide an inclusive lense on alpine fashion and culture. Curated by Apripista’s Nadia Samadani, the exhibition brought together a diverse range of artists who were invited to create works inspired by vintage travel posters that simultaneously reimagined alpine culture through an inclusive global lense.

With the opening on Feb 25, 2026, at the iconic 10 Corso Como during Milan Fashion Week,  the project was able to challenge traditional narratives of who belongs in mountain iconography as well as rexamine who skiwear can be geared towards. While Egypt does have its fair share of mountain ranges, they are almost never capped in snow, so with that came the idea of representing “ski culture” in the country through sandboarding instead.
