This is one of the first paintings in which I pay homage to some of my greatest artistic influences, most prominantly is Jean-Michel Basquiat and king of comics Jack Kirby. On my t-shirt are the names of some of my Egyptian contemporaries: Ammar [Abo Bakr], Hany [Rashed], Aya [Tarek], and Huda [Lutfi].
