Featuring the critical comix-essay MOUTHFAIL, originally created for the catalog of the Carlos Museum’s AND I MUST SCREAM exhibition produced in 2022. MOUTHFAIL explores notions of physical and psychological freedoms and how (or why) artmaking may be involved. The work went on to win the prestigious Kahil Award out of Beirut, Lebanon. In this issue of THE CURSE OF I, the comix is paired with the prose-essay, OH ART, WHERE ART THOU?, first published in ALTERNATIVE FACTS in 2017.
