An ordinary room in Cairo. A man, now alone. An assemblage of household objects that aren’t so inanimate.
WE ARE ALL THINGS is a semi-autobiographical prose poem written by Elliot Colla, illustrated and designed by Ganzeer, with printing and publishing provided by Radix Media.
The objects we own bear witness to our secret lives. In WE ARE ALL THINGS, a quiet room becomes a noisy backdrop to heartbreak and other forces of sentience. Here, pillows bemoan lost touch, lamps flicker with the memory of darkness, and the stereo coos a forgotten melody. This illustrated prose poem marries the rhythmic melody of poetry with the fluidity of visual narrative and invites us to imagine the mystery of feeling and the longing nature of existence.
Equal parts Maurice-Ponty and Yahyā al-Tāhir ‘Abdallah, We Are All Things is the first collaboration between Elliott Golla and Ganzeer. The chapbook features an introduction by Molly Crabapple.

In 2014, Ganzeer was commissioned by Irish rock band U2 to do a sort-of-music-video for their song, Volcano, from their album Songs of Innocence. He decided to make the video out of 862 posters. "An impressive technical feat" according to Pitchfork.
Bout To Blow collects the majority of posters that went into the making of Volcano, making it an important artifact of the convergence of art and music.

Described as a “fabulous noir poem” by Arablit’s Marcia Lynx Qualey, The Apartment in Bab El-Louk was first published in Arabic by Dar Merit as a slim 40-page experiment of a book that ended up taking away the Kahil Award for Best Graphic Novel in 2015.
Translated to English by Elizabeth Jaquette, this new edition from Darf Publishers has been expanded to 84 pages, with meticulous art direction by Ganzeer.
“In just 84 pages, downtown Cairo comes to life in all its messy glory” wrote Bookblast.
Admittedly, it’s an odd little book that doesn’t quite fit any narrative or genre norms. But if you’re a fan of zines, artist-books, and/or travelogues with a bit of a crime noir flare, then The Apartment in Bab El-Louk just might be for you.
Buy it directly from Darf Publishers, Amazon UK, or ask your local bookshop to order it for you (also listed on Amazon US, but the page count is grossly exaggerated for some reason).
